Residential Sheet Pile in Duri Selatan Repaired

Those living in West Jakarta are in for relief as officers begin to repair damaged sheet pile in RW 05, Duri Selatan Urban Village, Tambora to eliminate landslides and improve sewer system.

This sheet pile has 75 meters on the right and left sides with a height of two meters each

Tambora Sub-district Head Bambang Sutarna acknowledged that the sheet pile was previously seen perforated at a number of points and had now been torn down by the personnel.

"This sheet pile has 75 meters on the right and left sides with a height of two meters each. It is done by tearing down the old sheet pile and rebuilding with river stone and cement," he explained, Monday (3/1).

By so, he hoped that it could further facilitate the flow of water and not endanger locals. He furthered, the flow of water from Duri River flowing from Duri Pulo to Jembatan Besi to Kalijodo.

"We also plan to make a children's playground on the riverbank," he stated.
