8,000 Elderly People in West Jakarta Received COVID-19 Vaccination

As many as 8,000 elderly residents in West Jakarta have been injected with COVID-19 vaccines from Monday (2/22) to Sunday (2/28).

Our target is to complete the first batch in March

West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto conveyed, COVID-19 vaccination participants enthusiasm is quite high in West Jakarta.

"From target 199,192 participants, we have vaccinated 8,000 elderly residents. Our target is to complete the first batch in March," he stated, Tuesday (3/2).

West Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Kristy Warthin mentioned, there were 150-200 elderly people in average who received vaccine per day.

Until today, demand for COVID-19 vaccine is quite high. It proves the socialization is going well.

"Health condition of each elderly people is different. Those who have comorbidity must be checked to get recommendation letter from doctor in order to be vaccinated. While those who don't have comorbidity can be vaccinated immediately," he mentioned.
