Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency repaired breakwater located on the northeast side of Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.
The repair work is started in February and targeted to finish it next week
Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf conveyed, his side deployed 20 personnel to repair breakwater with length 52.80 meters.
"Some parts of this breakwater collapsed due to hit by big wave in last January. The repair work is started in February and targeted to finish it next week," he mentioned, Tuesday (3/9).
Collapsed Breakwater on South Side of Panggang Island RepairedBreakwater is repaired by rearranging the massive cube and tied with wires to make it stronger against waves.
"This breakwater is important to protect coastal areas and residents houses in Panggang Island from tidal waves," he said.
