Fire Prevention Keeps Being Socialized in North Jakarta and Thousand Islands

The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency has noted that fire socialization has been conducted in 809 locations during January to February amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prevention Division Head Eko Budianto said, those 809 locations were consisting of 136 locations in Cilincing, 99 location in Koja, 99 locations in Tanjung Priok, 139 locations in Kelapa Gading, 94 locations in Pademangan, 128 locations in Penjaringan, 33 locations in North Thousand Island Sub-district, 81 locations in South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

"Through a loudspeaker, we also continue to socialize the importance of 3M health protocols to the public for curbing COVID," he expressed, Tuesday (3/9).

East Jakarta Has Conducted Fire Socialization in 1,236 Locations

According to him, it was routinely carried out every day, especially in the afternoon. That was by urging the public to anticipate fires by ensuring there was no gas leak in their homes, not leaving the stove when it was on, and always using electrical equipment according to applicable standards.

"So once again please wash your hands frequently with soap and running water, always use a mask when you go out of the house, keep your distance and don't crowd in any activities," he asserted.

He added firefighters also put up stickers or gave pamphlets to remain alert to the dangers of fire and advice to maintain health protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19.
