Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of March 9

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of March 9.

The number of people tested last week has reached 81,564

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 13,040 specimens. 10,823 of them were to diagnose new cases with 867 positive and 9,956 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 81,564, while 297,897 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 6,605 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 834 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Tuesday (3/9).

As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 353,075 cases. Of these cases, 340,587 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.5% and 5,883 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 13.1%, while Indonesia was 11.1%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. Through this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here are the things that need to be done in daily activities amid the pandemic:

1. Stay home if not urgent

2. Always run 3M rules: (Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (maintaining physical distancing)

3. All activities permitted to operate must be within a maximum capacity of 50% and strictly adhere to health protocols

4. Remind others to always implement health protocols

Here is the recap data of violations and prosecution compiled by Satpol PP in tightening the PSBB as of March 8 at 6 PM, as follows:

A. Masks

- Social Work = 2,698

- Fine = 49

- Total = 2,747

B. Restaurant

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities for 1x24 = 6

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 = 1

- Written warning = 42

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 395

- Total = 444

C. Workplaces, Business Places, Industrial Places

- Fine = 1

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 hours = 3

- Written warning = 15

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 371

- Total = 390

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 7,800,000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 5000,000

- Amount = Rp 12,800,000
