The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has begun repairing the damaged breakwater on the northwest side of Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.
Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head Abdul Rouf expressed the breakwater was damaged after being hit by high waves in early March which caused massive cubes to fall about 10 meters length.

According to him, the repair itself included realigning the massive cubes with nylon ropes tied to make them stronger withstand the impact of high waves.
"It has been carried out since March 5 and is targeted to be complete by the end of this week," he stated.
