DKI Dapat Sumbangan Satu Unit Transjakarta Merk Scania

One Transjakarta Bus Granted to City Government

Jakarta Provincial Government once again received vehicle grant from private party. Previously, 14 truck units were given by Indonesian Petrolium Association (IPA). Now, one unit of Transjakarta articulated bus is given by three private companies.

I told the former Astra boss to give us a Scania bus, then he said to give the bus directly

The granted bus is a Scania Euro 6 gas fueled bus. Those three companies namely PT Wahana Artha Group, PT Saratoga, and PT Daya Adicipta Mustika.

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, admitted that he pushes private to donate Transjakarta bus through corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. Indeed, the city government has a problem in bus purchasing.

City Budget Needs to Be Investigated

"I told the former Astra boss to give us a Scania bus, then he said to give the bus directly," said Basuki, Monday (11/10).

Basuki added that by asking grant from private company, it does not mean city government has no budget purchasing bus. "They (private company) know exactly the bus price. So, there is no budget misuse," he added.

At that occasion, Basuki also invited other private companies to participate in giving vehicle grant to city government.

"I'm wary to do bus purchasing due to cheating between city working unit (SKPD) and tender winner. So I prefer to purchase the bus via PT Transjakarta," Basuki uttered.
