Joglo Urban Village Puskesmas Holds a Series of COVID-19 Surveys

The Joglo Urban Village Puskesmas, Kembangan, West Jakarta collaborates with the University of Indonesia's Public Health Faculty (FKM UI) held a series of COVID-19 surveys at Nusa Indah Posyandu, RT 04/08, Joglo.

Our target is able to take 55 samples for further examination

It aims to collect information and data from respondents which include estimates of the prevalence of COVID-19 by population level according to age; gender and characteristics of residence; determine the proportion of COVID-19 cases with symptoms and no symptoms; as well as knowing the factors related to COVID-19 infection in Jakarta.

"While we took samples at RW 08. Our target is able to take 55 samples for further examination," expressed Joglo Urban Village Puskesmas Head, Ani Riani, Thursday (3/18).

She said similar survey was also spotted to find out the population of COVID-19 infections associated with congenital diseases. Afterwards, the resulting sample would be sent to the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes).

"The research results will be used for further policy making. We also check for other diseases such as free blood sugar checks, the results of which can be known soon and then consulted with the existing doctors and HIV AIDS tests," he stated.

She added COVID should be prevented together. The public was also urged to remain vigilant and always comply with 3M health protocols to stop its transmission.
