Thousand Islands - PT Pelindo II Collaborates to Protect Marine Ecosystems

The Seribu Islands Regency administration collaborates with PT Pelindo II (Indonesia Port Corporation of Sunda Kelapa) to protect the marine ecosystem in the waters of Untung Jawa Island, South Thousand Islands Sub-district by performing coral reef transplants.

Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi disclosed that the Indonesia Port Corporation of Sunda Kelapa had implemented acropora assistance through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

"Thank you for the help, hopefully the coral reef transplantation can improve the beauty of underwater tourist destinations on Untung Jawa Island," he expressed, Friday (3/19).

In the meantime, Manager for Finance and Human Resources for Indonesia Port Corporation of Sunda Kelapa, Arif Mustangin uttered that the acropora assistance worth Rp 100 million was an initial assistance for the preservation of coral reefs in the waters of Untung Jawa Island.

"For the continuation, we'll accommodate the maintenance needs of Acropora," he stated.
