Luar Batang Mosque was revitalized because it has the potential as religious tourism destination and historical educational tourism in Jakarta, especially in North Jakarta region.

"The tomb of Habib Husen bin Abubakar Alydrus is a major factor why many congregants and pilgrims, both from Jakarta and outside Jakarta, visit this mosque," he conveyed.

According to him, revitalization work at this mosque is carried out to beautify building with artistic and modern touch, as well as to improve its facilities and infrastructure.

"We also fix all lighting and sound system. We want to create comfort and solemnity of worship," he added.

Apart of worshiping, visitors are also given the opportunity to take historical educational tour. Therefore, a gallery will also be built to tell the history of Luar Batang Mosque.

"We want Luar Batang Mosque to be a religious tourism and historical education that should be visited and become an unforgettable experience for congregations of pilgrims. Hopefully in the future, Jakarta will not only be visited for recreation, but also for cultural, historical, religious, pr religious approaches that will be a separate story in history of Jakarta's civilization," he said.
