Sirukim App Facilitates Residents in Finding Available Units in Rusunawa

Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement (PRKP) Agency launched new mobile-based application called Sirukim, an acronym for Housing and Settlement Information System. This application facilitates residents who are interested to live in rental low-cost apartment (rusunawa).

Jakarta PRKP Agency Head, Sarjoko said, Sirukim app facilitates residents to obtain information on availability of units in rusunawa.

"Currently, we have 35 rusunawa. Residents can choose and see which units are available. They just need to input their data and upload the required documents which will be verified by our officers through the application," he explained, Tuesday (3/23).

He explained that verification process was carried out online and integrated with data from Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Agency and Bappeda thus his side could know applicant's data.

"Using Sirukim app, there is a guarantee of accuracy to Jakarta residents who are targeted to inhabit the units," he added.

According to him, verification results can be known quickly as long as data entered by applicant is in accordance with terms and condition.

"We can see whether applicants own car or not, have house or not. This online selection will verify residents who are eligible to live in rusunawa," he asserted.

He assessed that Sirukim app can be also used by rusunawa occupants to get information on bills, complain, and other information related to administration of rusunawa management itself.

"So it is not merely to get units in rusunawa, but it can be also used to receive information on bills, to complain, and others. With this app, we expect residents to trust that services provided by rusunawa are carried out in transparent manner," he mentioned.
