Thousand Islands Closely Monitors Health Protocols in 17 Locations

The Thousand Isldands Tourism and Creative Economic (Parekraf) Sub-agency intensifies health protocols monitoring in 17 locations that are tourist destinations, homestays, restaurants, culinary spots and accessories.

Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head Puji Astuti disclosed it was focused on two island tourist settlements, namely Tidung and Pramuka islands.

"We want to ensure that business actors, tourism services and tourists remain obedient to health protocols to contain the spread of COVID-19," he explained, Thursday (3/25).

Thousand Islands Intensifies Health Protocols Monitoring for Tourists

In the field, officers found no violations. That meant most places still provide mask, hand washing facilities at homestays and tourist sites.

At the same time, they also held socialization about business licensing for tourism services in Thousand Islands.

"We remind business actors who do not yet have a license to process it soon for various facilities and access to government program assistance," he stressed.
