East Jakarta Mayor Monitors Vaccination at RPTRA Garuda Cilangkap

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar monitored dynamic vaccination program for elderly people at RPTRA Garuda Cilangkap, Cipayung, on Wednesday (3/24). As many as 500 elderly people are targeted to be vaccinated at this RTRA per day.

Vaccination quota at RPTRA Garuda is 150 elderly people a day

In this monitoring, his side wanted to ensure the first dose vaccination program for elderly was running well. According to him, there was no obstacles found in this simultaneous vaccination in Capital City.

"There are more than 200 thousand elderly people in East Jakarta. Thus we need to accelerate the vaccination since its deadline is until March 31. The point is, we need to vaccinate elderly because they are vulnerable to COVID-19," he mentioned.

It needs more accuracy in giving vaccination to elderly, because most of them have comorbidity. Health screening needs to be done thoroughly. If the results are not good, then vaccination should be postponed. They are only allowed to get vaccination if their health screening results are good.

Cilangkap Urban Village Head, Nasir Sugiar added, his side targeted 150 elderly people in 6 RWs to be vaccinated at RPTRA Garuda today. Vaccination program for elderly is targeted to be completed on March 31.

For elderly people who are troubled with transport, his side has provided shuttle service for them by using urban village operational cars with assistance from PKK cadres and RT/RW administrators.

"Vaccination quota at RPTRA Garuda is 150 elderly people a day who will be served by around 17-19 health workers," he explained.
