North Jakarta KPKP Holds Food Inspection for Agricultural Products

North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency held food inspection for agricultural products in five traditional markets on Thursday (3/25).
All samples are tested negative from hazardous substances
North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto stated, those five markets are Sungai Bambu Market, Anyar Bahari Market, Pelita Market, Sunter Podomoro Market, and Sunter Hijau Kirana Market.
"We examine agricultural products from fresh plant products (PSAT), such as apples, oranges, red chilies, bird-eye chilies, and tomatoes. As well as vegetables such as green beans, mustard greens, bok choy, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, long beans, and rice," he explained.
Central Jakarta KPKP Holds Food Inspection in 5 MarketsHis side took 24 samples from Sunter Podomoro Market, 24 samples from Pelita Market, 24 samples from Sunter Hijau Kirana Market, 24 samples from Anyar Bahari Market, and 20 samples from Sungai Bambu Market. In total, 116 samples were tested on the spot using laboratory car which placed at Sunter Podomoro Market.
"The result says it is 100 percent safe. All samples are tested negative from hazardous substances," he added.
According to him, food inspection for agricultural products was carried out to provide sense of security and comfort to public regarding products circulating in markets.
"The integrated food inspection which carried out routinely by Jakarta KPKP Agency through North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency aims to ensure food safety for Jakarta residents," he conveyed.
