Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama attended a regional working meeting (rakerda) I of Jakarta Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) that held at the Great Hall, City Hall, Wednesday (11/12).

On that occasion, Ahok said he was not an enemy of Islam related with conflict with the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). The reason is, the FPI politicizing his trust and spreading incorrect provocation.

He assessed FPI which has rejected him as Jakarta Governor would ruin the image of Islam. "Political wants I clash with Islam, instead of FPI," he stressed.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of MUI, Ma'ruf Amin reminds the scholars to protect people thus they do not continue being the object. "FPI has casted aspiration to the Legislative Council (DPRD). It will be solved also by reviewing it in accordance with the rules and constitution," he disclosed.
He asserted aspiration accompanied with anarchistic is not part of Islam. This is because Islam only recognizes communication and dialogue as the best way to find a solution to the conflict.
He added that FPI rejection over Ahok as the number one in Jakarta is not mean to involve all Muslims. "That's why, this matter will be returned to the state constitution because we live in a state," he uttered.
