Ahok Instructs Police to Find Out the Funder of FPI's Rally

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Purnama has sent a letter to Chief of City Police, Brig. Gen. Unggung Chayono that containing an order for the police to uncover the mastermind behind the anarchy in the Islam Defenders Front (FPI) demonstration a few days ago in front of the City Hall and the City Council (DPRD) building.

"I have signed a letter to be sent to the City Police to find out who is the financier in FPI's demonstration?," he asserted, at City Hall, Thursday (10/9).

He disclosed some people who were arrested by police are only field coordinators of the demonstration. Whereas, according to Basuki, people most responsible for this action are those who support the demonstration.

DPRD Holds Hearings with 30 FPI Representatives

Former regent of East Belitung also praised Chief of City Police, Brig. Gen. Unggung Cahyono because he had sent a recommendation letter for the dissolution of FPI to the Home Affair Ministry.

"I think he (Brig. Gen. Unggung Cahyono) was an incredible person," he exclaimed.
