Central Jakarta Mayor Monitors Face-to-Face Learning at SMKN 2

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma monitored face-to-face learning activity at SMKN 2, Jalan Batu III, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/7).

After April 29, the results will be evaluated

In Central Jakarta, limited face-to-face learning is implemented in 10 schools until April 29.

"Today is the first day of face-to-face school planning pilot activity. There are 10 schools recommended in Central Jakarta," he mentioned.

Together with Central Jakarta Regional 1 Education Sub-agency Head, Slamet, his side checked five classrooms at SMKN 2 used for face-to-face learning. He also checked readiness of health protocols implementation at school, from wearing mask, checking body temperature, providing hand washing facilities, and maintaining distance between students in classrooms.

"After April 29, the results will be evaluated. Furthermore, prototype that will be applied when entering new academic year on next July will be determined," he conveyed.

SMKN 2 Headmaster, Murni Astuti stated, her side opened five classrooms for face-to-face learning. Only 45 of 670 students who were allowed by their parents to attend school.

"Total students in SMKN 2 is 670 students. But for today, only 45 students who are allowed to attend face-to-face learning in five classrooms. While the others study online," she informed.

Face-to-face learning is conducted twice to three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 07:30-11:30. Each classrooms filled with nine students. In order to avoid crowds, every students should be in classrooms, including during breaks at 09:30-10:00.

"During face-to-face learning, we implement strict health protocols. We also prepare isolation room in school infirmary for student whose temperature is above 37.3 degrees Celsius. While we coordinate with urban village health center to check their health," she explained.
