Free Takjil Available for Transjakarta Commuters during Ramadan

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) provides passengers with free takjil (breaking-of-the-fast snacks) to break the fast during Ramadan.
Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Head of PT Transportasi Jakarta, Angelina Betris said free takjil was available at all BRT stops every Monday to Friday starting at 5:30 PM to 6 PM.

She explained the commuters should remain implement health protocols in public transportation such as eating and drinking is allowed when breaking the fast with a maximum time of 10 minutes after adzan Magribh (the sunset call to prayer).
Then customers could break the fast using drinking water, dates or snacks and were not allowed to eat rice and side dishes, stinging foods or other ready-to-eat foods.
"Masks can be opened temporarily only at breaking the fast," she explained.
She added it should be reused after eating and drinking is over. When removing the mask, the customer was not allowed to speak either in person or on a cell phone.
"They (commuters) are also asked to maintain cleanliness and order together," she stated.
According to her, there was no change in operational services during Ramadan.
"Transjakarta will continue to operate as usual at 5 AM to 10 PM. Then services for medical workers as usual lasted until 10:30 PM," she said.
