Jakarta Government urges all people to be more disciplined in implementing 3M health protocols because COVID-19 positive cases are still increasing. Although the government continues to intensify 3T action, it needs cooperation from the community to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
Number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 68,949
Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 13,167 specimens. From that amount, 11,191 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 979 positive results and 10,212 negative results. Besides, Antigen test was also conducted to 4,582 people with 68 positive results and 4,514 negative results.
"For information, 338,111 PCR tests have been carried out per 1 million population. While the number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 68,949. Number of positive cases declined by 68 cases thus in total it reached 6,920 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated)," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release.
1,173 Seniors in Thousand Islands Have Gone through Second DoseMeanwhile for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 397,088 cases. It should be noted that positive antigen test results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all were reconfirmed by PCR.
From total positive cases, 383,655 people recovered with recovery rate of 96.6% and 6,513 people died with mortality rate of 1.6%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%
For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 9.4%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.
Vaccination process is still ongoing. Vaccination target for stage 1 and 2 (for health workers, elderly and public servants) is 3,000,689 people. Currently, first dose vaccination has been given to 1,615,457 people (53.8%) and second dose vaccination to 813,687 people (27.1%).
In detail, for health workers, first dose vaccination has been given to 124,755 people (111.1%) and second dose to 108,761 people (96.8%) with total vaccination target 112,301 people.
For elderly group, first dose vaccination has been given to 545,822 people (59.9%) and second dose to 252,371 people (27.7%) with total vaccination target 911,631 people. In public service group, first dose vaccination has been given to 944,880 people (47.8%) and second dose to 452,555 people (22.9%) with total vaccination target 1,976,757 people.
Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection. It is hoped that people can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
