City Police prepares tight security for the inauguration of Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama as Jakarta Governor which scheduled on upcoming November 18. Before that, the police would hold the security alert ceremony on November 17.

“On Monday (11/17) there will be ceremony of Jakarta Governor’s inauguration security which held coincides with flood precaution readiness ceremony,” stated City Police Public Relations Division Chief Sr. Comr. Rikwanto, Thursday (11/13).
Unfortunately, the number of policemen to be deployed to safeguard the inauguration is not yet known. According to him, it will be adapted to the situation and condition happening in the field.

In addition, Rikwanto stressed that according to the law, demonstration is allowed. However, the demonstrators still have to submit permission letter and do not conduct anarchy.
“If the demonstration went anarchy, we will disperse the mass,” he asserted.
