Basuki: I Prefer Working for City than Thinking Inauguration

Acting (Plt) Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) is set to be inaugurated as definitive governor on Tuesday (11/18). Although the appointment time is already in sight, Ahok claimed to have no preparation, the most important for him is concentration of work for the capital.

"There is no preparation. My clothes are still fit anyway. My body is still as before," Basuki said at City Hall, Thursday (13/11) afternoon.

Basuki just did not know when his inauguration as Governor of Jakarta is held by the council. However, the former Regent of East Belitung was also claimed to be ready if not inaugurated as Jakarta Governor.

" I do not know. No inauguration is also okay for me. The difference of Plt (Acting) salary with the Governor is not too much ," he said.

Meanwhile, City Police Public Relations Division Chief Sr. Comr. Rikwanto stated he is still collecting data on how much community elements to hold demonstration during the inauguration of Jakarta Governor. That’s what will determine the number of personnel deployed. But thus far, there is none asked for permission to hold demonstration.

In addition, Rikwanto stressed that according to the law, demonstration is allowed. However, the demonstrators still have to submit permission letter and do not conduct anarchy.

“If the demonstration went anarchy, we will disperse the mass,” he asserted.
