September-October, Drugs Worth Rp 51.8 Million Confiscated

In two months, the City Police Narcotics Crime Directorate managed to confiscate various types of drugs worth Rp 51.8 billion. In addition, they also arrested 13 suspects who are all charged under Article 114 of Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics with a maximum sentence of death penalty.

With that amount of drugs (confiscated), we could save 311,190 lives

City Police Narcotics Crime Director Sr. Comr. Eko Daniyanto stated that the drugs confiscated consist of 37,214 ecstasy pills, 13.3 kilograms of marijuana, 19.3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1.03 kilograms of heroin, 42 grains of erimin, and 3.8 grams of ketamine. These drugs are the results of two-month foreclosure from eight quite big cases.

“Some of those drugs are disclosure in Jelambar and Cengkareng in September as well as Kenari in October,” he told, Thursday (11/13).

In addition to those three regions, Daniyanto continued, the police also confiscated drugs from one of the suspects when he was in the waiting room of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. At that time, the suspect was known to onboard Lion Air to Medan, North Sumatra.

“With that amount of drugs (confiscated), we could save 311,190 lives,” he said.
