PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) reopens four Non-Bus Rapid Transit (Non-BRT) routes for rental low-cost apartment (rusunawa) occupants.
They can enjoy this service for free
Those four routes are Rusunawa Marunda-Rusunawa Waduk Pluit (12F); Rusunawa Rawa Bebek-Bukit Duri (11M); Rusunawa Cipinang Besar Selatan-Penas Kalimalang (10B); and Rusunawa Marunda-Tanjung Priok (10A).
PT. Transjakarta Operational Director, Prasetia Budi said, routes for rusunawa occupants were operated to follow up Jakarta Governor's Instruction (Ingub) No. 131/2016 concerning Optimization of Rental Low-Cost Apartment Management in Jakarta Province and Jakarta Transportation Agency Decree (SK) No. 66 and 205/2017 concerning Transjakarta Bus Service Routes from and to Public Housing (Rusun).
1,500 PT. Transjakarta Employees Have Received First Dose Vaccines"We have temporarily stopped the operation of these four routes to suppress and break the chain of COVID-19 spread. As community activities are recovering, this service will return to operate for residents who live in flats and surrounding areas starting Thursday, April 21, 2021," he explained, Friday (4/23).
He informed, Transjakarta provides 13 medium buses that are ready to serve residents in those routes every Monday-Friday at 05:00-22:00.
"In order to access this service, customers are required to bring public housing occupant card and use it on Tap On Bus (TOB) machine available in bus fleet thus they can enjoy this service for free," he mentioned.
He ensured all bus fleets have met safety standards during the pandemic, such as sterilized using disinfectant liquid periodically, installed with safety distance signs both on seats and on bus floor, equipped with hand sanitizer that can be used by customers.
"We still limit number of passengers up to 30 people or 50 percent of capacity for medium bus. This way, customers can feel safe and comfortable when using Transjakarta service," he added.
By opening these four routes, it means total 151 Transjakarta routes have been operating. In the future, Transjakarta will gradually open other routes.
"This route opening is done to follow up input from residents, both via call center at 1500-102 and Transjakarta official social media," he closed.
