Sentiong River JPO will Be Transformed into Park

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency will transform pedestrian bridge (JPO) on Sentiong River into green park.

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda conveyed, her side is currently designing JPO into green park area.

"Our concept for park that will be built in Sentiong River JPO is to make the neighborhood looks beautiful," she said, Friday (4/30).

MCBs Used to Close Access to Sentiong River JPO

According to her, Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency had also placed dozens of MCBs which served as barrier thus Sentiong River JPO couldn't be used for access thus brawls between teenagers from Kampung Rawa and Tanah Tinggi could be avoided.

"We are instructed by mayor to arrange area in Sentiong River JPO thus after the road access is closed, the neighborhood around the bridge can look more beautiful," she mentioned.

Therefore, her side will plant several ornamental plants in Sentiong River JPO, including flower shrubs and bougainvillea.

"So the park at Sentiong River JPO is not only for safety measure, but also to beautify the area," she said.
