Governor Anies Visits Health Facilities in Thousand Islands

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan together with his staff took the time to visit health facilities in Thousand Islands, on Friday (4/30).

Today we visit the Thousand Islands RSUD on Pramuka Island

The first location visited was one of general hospitals (RSUD) on Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands. On that occasion, the Governor was welcomed by Thousand Islands RSUD Director, Agus Ariyanto.

"Today we visit the Thousand Islands RSUD on Pramuka Island, where we want to first greet the health workers here. Also want to ensure that the conditions and capabilities of the health facilities are adequate," he disclosed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Then he appreciated the performance of health workers who have dedicated their time to serve and ensure the health of the Thousand Islands people. Moreover, some were known to live far from the work location.

"We really appreciate them, as we know the RSUD Director wwho has been away from his wife for 14 years in Pati, Central Java to serve here. This is hard work and sincere work from the heart," he explained.

Therefore, he stressed all the needs needed in the hospital should be met in terms of regulations and medical facilities and infrastructure. Moreover, the hospital was a central health facility in Thousand Islands as it was the first referral for residents.

"We have heard what is missing and needs to be added, what needs to be improved, and what regulations need to be issued or revised. We will process it soon in order to bring a feeling of calm to the islanders who want to access health facilities," he asserted.

Thousand Islands RSUD Director, Agus Ariyanto explained that the hospital needed some updates, especially medical facilities and equipment.

"Here I explain that maintenance is very high, so budget support is needed, such as medical equipment and others that must be renewed," he explained.

Although the occupancy of the hospital was still low, namely 30 percent, he continued, its existence was very central because this hospital was the closest to the residents' access.

"Surely we need an injection of funds. We ask for support regarding regulatory policies, especially regarding health in Thousand Islands," he continued.

As the information, the Governor also visited the Kelapa Island Puskesmas, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.
