70 Personnel Dispatched to Handle Landslides in Jagakarsa

The personnel get assistance from locals to manually transport the debris that blocked the flow of the Kali Lenggong River, as it has caused inundation

Around 70 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency, BPBD and PPSU have been deployed to clean up the debris of houses that were hit by landslides on Jalan Durian Raya, Gg. Pondoh, RT 05/04, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

"The personnel get assistance from locals to manually transport the debris that blocked the flow of the Kali Lenggong River, as it has caused inundation," expressed Jagakarsa Sub-district Head, Alamsyah, Thursday (5/6).

He explained the landslide occurred on Wednesday (5/5) at around 10 PM after the downpours fell across South Jakarta.

"The landslide has damaged the back of the house that juts into the river," he explained.

As a result, the landslide also hit the back of another house which is across the river at RT 04/05. As a result, the debris blocked the river flow and water overflowed into local residents' homes.
