PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) appreciated support from PT. PLN (Persero) in MRT project. Through West Java Main Development Unit, PT. PLN (Persero) has succeeded to energize and relocate 150 kV Ketapang-Mangga Besar Underground Cable (UGC).

The successful work will greatly support Sawah Besar Station construction, which is part of MRT Jakarta Phase 2, to be safely and on time. Considering the heavy traffic condition and limited space available in the area.

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) President Director, Willam Sabandar stated, support from various parties is very important in accelerating MRT construction.

"We would like to thank PT. PLN through West Java Main Development Unit for completing the energize work and UGC 150 kV Ketapang-Mangga Besar relocation to accelerate MRT Jakarta Phase 2 project," he conveyed, Friday (5/7).

He explained that process of energizing and relocating UGC 150 kV Ketapang-Mangga Besar which carried out since November 2020 has been completed and operates on May 4, 2021 with length of 0.32 KMS. This work is carried out using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method.  

"This project is one of PT. PLN (Persero)'s efforts to improve reliability of electricity supply in Capital City Ring 1 area," he stated.

According to him, PT. PLN (Persero) has contributed since MRT Jakarta Phase 1 construction until it is operating by providing electricity network infrastructure to support Jakarta MRT's needs of electricity supply. Success that has been achieved by MRT Jakarta up to this day cannot be separated from supports of various stakeholders and the community.

"We are always committed to be a platform that collaborates with various parties to encourage sustainable value enhancement in order to create quality public transportation that can provide good services and bring new lifestyle to Jakarta residents," he asserted.
