MRT Operating Hours Return to Normal After Eid Holiday

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) operating hours returns to normal after Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri holiday. It refers to Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Decree No. 157/2021 on Extending Limitation on Transport Capacity and Operating Hours of Transportation Facilities in the Context of Imposing Micro-scale Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Mikro).

Maximum 70 passengers per train car

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) President Director, William Sabandar said, MRT operates 05:00-23:00 in weekdays and 06:00-21:00 in weekend.

"There are restrictions on passengers during COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, we enforce policy that limits maximum 70 passengers per train car," he added, Tuesday (5/18).

Transjakarta Bus Operating Hours Adjusted During Eid Holiday

Meanwhile, train headway is 5 minutes at peak hours on weekdays or 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-19:00.

"On off-peak hours and on weekends or holidays, train headway is 10 minutes," he added.

After Eid holiday or Monday (5/17), MRT Jakarta has served 31,368 passengers. This number has increased compared to Eid al-Fitr holiday on May 13-14 with total 25,521 passengers.

"We remind people to be disciplined in implementing health protocol in MRT Jakarta area, by wearing mask, maintaining safe distance, washing their hands often, and not speaking in one or two directions while on train and station platform area," he explained.
