Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit dredged channels and repaired retaining wall in four urban villages of Tanah Abang Sub-district, Central Jakarta.
Mud dredging is carried out on channels that connected with residential areas
Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari explained, mud dredging work was carried out in channels located in Bendungan Hilir, Karet Tengsin, Petamburan, and Tanah Abang Urban Villages.
"Mud dredging is carried out on channels that connected with residential areas in four urban villages in order to anticipate inundation," she explained, Thursday (5/20).
Water Channel Dredged on Jl. Letjen S. ParmanMoreover, her side also deployed 4 personnel to repair collapsed retaining wall on Jalan Pejompongan Raya RW 05, Bendungan Hilir.
"The collapsed retaining wall has length of nine meters with height of 110 centimeters," she added.
Dredging channels and repairing retaining wall are carried out to follow up residents' requests and council member's recess.
"Today, we have completed repair work on collapsed retaining wall. We will continue to dredge channel thus it can hold more water when heavy rain falls," she stated.
