Water Channel Dredged on Jl. Letjen S. Parman

Grogol Petamburan Water Resources (SDA) Unit cleaned water channel on Jl. Letjen S. Parman in front of Krida Wacana Christian University (Ukrida), West Jakarta.

We have collected 30 cubic meters of mud from that channel

Grogol Petamburan Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Agus stated, dredging work has been carried out since May 8, 2021. This channel has dimensions of 1.20 x 1.5 meters as long as 80 meters.

"The progress has reached 80 percent as long as 60 meters. We have collected 30 cubic meters of mud from that channel," he mentioned, Wednesday (5/19).

Six Heavy Equipment Deployed to Dredge Mud at Mabes TNI Reservoir

Before dredging the channel, mud thickness reached 40 centimeters. His side deployed 9 Grogol Petamburan SDA Unit personnel to clean the channel using sacks, hoes, buckets, crowbars, garden fork, and one unit dump truck to dispose the mud to Ancol, North Jakarta.

"We estimate it to finish next week," he added.

His side hopes the dredging work can make add channel's capacity thus it can hold more water and minimizes inundation that can occur especially when it rains heavily.
