Anies Appreciates Aprindo Vaccination Program for Retail Business Actors

Retail business actors have a fairly high intensity interaction because they serve customers in direct transaction, thus they are categorized as group that is vulnerable to be exposed to COVID-19. Therefore, Jakarta Government builds collaboration with Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) to hold vaccination for retail business actors. One of the vaccination was held at Tanjung Duren Sports Building, West Jakarta on Monday (5/24).

This vaccination was directly monitored by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and his subordinates. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the initiative to hold vaccination through collaboration between Jakarta Government and Aprindo.
"We convey our appreciation to Aprindo for taking a part in supporting vaccination program organized by government. This program should be carried out together, because all of us should have the same opportunity to be vaccinated," he stated, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

"At the beginning, we have a program to provide vaccines to public servants who interact directly with public. This retail business actors are included in it. So, after being vaccinated, they will be protected from exposure to COVID-19," he informed.
Besides, vaccination program for retail business actors will also increase the potential to build up herd immunity because more groups of people receive vaccine. "This vaccination is a step to build up herd immunity for retail employees. That way, we can also feel at ease when interacting with them," he added.
He also urged retail business actors who have been vaccinated to continue applying health protocol, thus vaccination program can run well in improving economy, especially retail business in Jakarta.
"I want to underline that even though you have been vaccinated, you must continue to comply with health protocol. It must be done massively. If it is applied, we can accelerate economic revival in Jakarta," he mentioned.
