51 Rebuked for Violating Health Protocol Rules in South Jakarta

We punish them to give them a deterrent effect

South Jakarta Satpol PP personnel gave social work and administrative fine sanctions to 51 people who have violated health protocol rules by not wearing masks, on Friday (5/28). They were netted at Jalan Raya Pasar Kebayoran Lama (36 people) and Jalan Bukit Duri Utara (15 people), Tebet.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Effendi said, from 36 people, 34 were subject to social work sanctions and 2 others preferred to pay a fine of Rp 100,000 per person.

"We punish them to give them a deterrent effect," he stated.

He continued personnel assisted by Transportation Agency, army, police and FKDM also monitored the implementation of health protocols at business premises on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir.

"Based on the monitoring results at the location, zero case here," he said.

Tebet Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Komarudin explained around 15 motorists and pedestrians were caught not wearing masks on Jalan Bukit Duri Utara. They were subject to social work sanctions cleaning up trash.
