No New Tariff for Transjakarta Bus

Government regulation in raising the Fuel (BBM) price certainly will be followed by tariff raise of public transport. But, not with Transjakarta bus which will not raise the tariff in the near time.

We'll not raise Transjakarta tariff, but other public transport tariff should be calculated

"We'll not raise Transjakarta tariff, but other public transport tariff should be calculated," said Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, Tuesday (11/18).

Public Transport Tariff Increased Unilaterally

Basuki added the gas fuel could be solution for public transport driver. Jakarta Provincial Government keeps supporting public transport in capital using gas fuel (BBG).

"We also ready to pay city transportation with rupiah per kilometer system combined with Public Service Obligation (PSO) program. The government is ready to loss and the public transportation owner will get profit. With or without passenger, wee keep pay them," Basuki added.

He uttered, BBG for public transport in the capital has been applied since long time ago. In fact, city transport owner always debating about the filling station.

"I have asked the park in Jakarta can be used as mobile filling station," Basuki uttered.

Basuki is about to calculate the new public transport tariff due to new fuel price.

"Later, public will choose to ride expensive public transport or Transjakarta bus with subsidized tariff," Basuki enclosed.
