Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of June 19, 2021

Jakarta Government continues to control COVID-19 pandemic. Not only implementing 3T, COVID-19 vaccination is also being promoted to priority groups. However, community participation is still needed to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols.

Given that COVID-19 vaccination can only reduce the impact of exposure, there is still a possibility of COVID-19 transmission if people don't follow health protocols. It can be seen from positive cases that are still fluctuating and now tend to increase. It needs cooperation from all sides to break the transmission chain.
Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 23,010 specimens. From that amount, 16,797 specimens ha
ve been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 4,895 positive results and 11,902 negative results. Besides, Antigen test was also conducted to 4,808 people with 434 positive results and 4,374 negative results.Vaccination in Kramat Jati Health Center Carried Out By Health Workers from Five Professional Organizations"WHO test target is 1,000 people tested using PCR per one million population per week (not specimens), meaning that WHO target for Jakarta is at least 10,645 people should be tested per week. This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. In the past week, 981,374 people were tested using PCR. While the number of people tested for PCR in Jakarta has now reached 394,831 per million population," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release.
Number of positive cases increased by 2,601 cases thus in total it reached 27,112 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated). Moreover, for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 468,447 cases. It should be noted that positive antigen test results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all were reconfirmed by PCR.
From total positive cases, 433,499 people recovered with recovery rate of 92.5% and 7,836 people died with mortality rate of 1.7%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.8%
For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 23.5%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.1%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.
Meanwhile, vaccination process is still ongoing. Vaccination in Jakarta is targeting 8,815,157 people. For vaccination program, first dose vaccines had been given to 3,344,254 (37.9%), where 105,003 people had been injected with first dose vaccines today. While second dose vaccines had been given to 1,886,323 people (21,4%), where 5,326 people had been injected with second dose vaccines today.
Related to vaccination for residents aged 18-59 years, the first dose vaccines had been given to 2,749,208 people (34,8%) and second dose vaccines to 1,351,050 people (17,1%). For elderly group, first dose vaccines had been given to 595,046 people (65,3%) and second dose vaccines to 535,273 people (58,7%). While for mutual cooperation vaccination (Vaksinasi Gotong Royong) program, first dose vaccines had been given to 48,936 people and second dose vaccines to 11,200 people.
Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PSBB violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.
Based on daily report submitted by Jakarta Satpol PP on June 18, 2021, at 18:00, Satpol PP had collected fine Rp 7.500,000. With hope all residents can be more disciplined and participated in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, Jakarta Transportation Agency decided to canceled temporarily the fast bike zoning trial on Kampung Melayu Non-Toll Road (JLNT) - Tanah Abang. Residents are also advised not to carry out unnecessary mobility, except for urgent needs.
