All urban village heads have been directed to send at least 30 of their citizens to participate in the program
It is held to speed up the vaccination program
to immediately form herd immunity."All urban village heads have been directed to send at least 30 of their citizens to participate in the program," said East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, Friday (6/25).
According to him, it was actually for Indonesian people. Jakarta only got a quota of 8,000 people. If it was calculated, each village would get a quota of 30 people to be vaccinated at GBK.
"We must succeed this mass vaccination program," he asserted.
He explained it had been discussed in a city-level coordination meeting involving the Covid-19 task force.
"Especially for East Jakarta people, vaccine services are prepared in Hall A of the Senayan Basketball Court," he uttered.
To mobilize them to the GBK area, his party had coordinated with the school bus and Transjakarta management. It was to anticipate that people do not use private vehicles.
"We urge them to use buses, while still complying with health protocols. Because if each person brings their own vehicle, it will trigger traffic jams and the vehicle parking area will be full," he concluded.
