PPKM Darurat Doesn't Affect Supply of Food Commodities in Jakarta

Everything is safe and stable, but there is only a slight increase in the red chili commodity as it is rising from the source

Perumda Pasar Jaya ensures that the stock and supply of food commodities is safe and runs smoothly amid Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM Darurat).

Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin said PPKM Darurat in the capital was quite crucial. He stated, the pace of the food sector should pay more attention to supply so as to avoid supply or distribution bottlenecks and not experience price spikes.

"Everything is safe and stable, but there is only a slight increase in the red chili commodity as it is rising from the source," he expressed, Thursday (7/8).

Nevertheless, along with the supply of goods coming from the goods-producing area, the price would return to normal. Other commodities such as garlic are also in a safe condition, including various other needs originating from areas whose prices are still normal.

"That means PPKM Darurat doesn't have a bad influence on food supplies coming from the regions. Certainly we'll continuously monitor thus stock and prices continue to be in normal conditions," he stated.
