Clay Dredged from Munjul Reservoir Used to Expand Burial Ground at TPU Bambu Apus

Clay from dredging Munjul Reservor will be used for earthwork material at Bambu Apus Public Cemetery (TPU) since the land that will be used for COVID-19 burial ground was previously a swamp.

Because burial ground is already full for COVID-19 bodies

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto conveyed, clay from dredging reservoir has been dried since July 9 and used for expansion of COVID-19 burial ground at TPU Bambu Apus.

"Because burial ground is already full for COVID-19 bodies, we clear the land on the back for expansion," he mentioned, Wednesday (7/14).

According to him, clay from dredging reservoir was transported using four dump trucks belonging to East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency to TPU Bambu Apus on Jl. Bambu Wulung, Bambu Apus.

"We can't deploy more dump truck since they are being used for earthwork at TPU Semper, North Jakarta," he said.
