20 7-Eleven Outlets in S. Jakarta Illegal

We have filed demolishment to the provincial level because its authority lies in the Tourism Department

Tens of 7-Eleven outlets that spread in South Jakarta have violated the rules. Based on the latest data until the end of 2013, as many as 20 outlets are not in accordance with the designation. Yet, they are still operating.

"We have filed demolishment to the provincial level because its authority lies in the Tourism Department," expressed South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor, Monday (11/24).

Noor disclosed, the Tourism Department has filed demolishment to Jakarta Satpol PP. "Last year, we'd sent demolishment warrant through Satpol PP to the 7-Eleven outlets that have violated the rules," he told.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santoso justified there are many 7-Eleven outlets violate the rules in South Jakarta. Nevertheless, his side could not control them because there is a policy from Jakarta Governor in this regard. "We want to demolish them, but the outlets have the Governor's decree that gives the opportunity to operate until 2015," he expressed.

Those outlets that have violated the rules are located at Jalan Kemang Selatan 12, Jalan Cipete V, Jalan Tebet Raya No. 55, Jalan Panglima Polim Raya No. 25, Jalan Raya Pejaten No. 20A, Jalan Kyai Maja Blok E1-35, Jalan Wolter Monginsidi No. 24, Jalan Kesehatan Raya No. 1A, and Jalan RS Fatmawati No 11.
