Similar condition is also spotted on Jalan S Parman, from Slipi towards Grogol or in front of Podomoro City. Its water level reaches 30 centimeters. As a result, congestion cannot be avoided.

In addition, rainwater also inundates Jalan Joglo Raya, precisely in front of Joglo Public Cemetery and Rawabelong area. The congestion at the site is also worsened by people who turn around to avoid puddle.

"Jalan Joglo Raya is indeed prone to flooding," lamented Parlin, a tire repairman at Jalan Joglo Raya, Tuesday (10/11).

Head of West Jakarta Public Works Sub-Department, Pamudji disclosed his sub-department is currently intensifying normalization in some drains, especially in flood-prone areas.

"To minimize puddle, we're normalizing drains and build new drains," he told.

Not only that, he also installs pump mobile in flood-prone areas. "Pump mobile is also installed, thus puddle can recede quickly," he uttered.
