Jakarta Government through Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) has established 26 people to be DKI Jakarta Flag-raising Troops (Paskibraka) in 2021, consisting of 13 male and 13 female Paskibraka who have been fully vaccinated.

They are millennial generation figures who can give an example during COVID-19 pandemic

Jakarta Dispora Head, Achmad Firdaus appreciated participation of all Paskibraka in the success of vaccination program.

"They are millennial generation figures who can give an exampl e during COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully, all targeted school-age children will be more motivated to be vaccinated against COVID-19," he said, Monday (8/16).

He explained, 2 Paskibraka named Kiandra Muchlisya from SMAN 99 East Jakarta and Febitri Nur Tsabitah from SMAN 42 East Jakarta will be on duty in ceremony to commemorate 76th Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence at State Palace as the representatives from DKI Jakarta.

"We are proud that Febitri Nur Tsabitah has been entrusted to be the Commander of National Paskibraka Inauguration Ceremony 2021 by Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, at State Palace in Jakarta on August 12," he mentioned.

He informed, total 24 Paskibraka will be on duty in ceremony to commemorate 76th Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence at Jakarta City Hall on August 17, 2021. All selected Paskibraka had gone through tiered selection process, starting from regional to provincial levels until they were established on Friday, August 13, 2021.

"Currently, 24 Paskibraka are being trained at Training Center (TC) in Pecenongan, Central Jakarta with strict health protocols," he added.

He advised all Paskibraka, both those who will serve at provincial and national levels to maintain their physical and mental condition, foster morale, caring, loyalty, and independence.

"Keep up the teamwork and togetherness, show your potentials, abilities, and skills," he stated.
