685 Menteng People Vaccinated at Five Vaccination Centers

Thus far, as many as 173 have received the first dose and 512 have received the second dose

As many as 685 people from Menteng, Central Jakarta, received the first and second doses in five vaccination sites, on Tuesday (8/24). Those five vaccination sites were the Indonesian Women's Congress (Kowani) office, SMPN 3 building, SDN 08, RW 03 and 08 posts.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, took his time to monitor the vaccination service at the Kowani office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng. According to him, it could reach people in densely populated areas who had not been vaccinated.

"We encourage residents who have yet to get vaccine, that's why we invite all stakeholders to hold vaccination service in order to reach herd immunity," he stated.

Kowani Chairman, Giwo Rubianto Wiyoga explained, as a women's struggle organization, she was supporting the government in efforts to accelerate vaccination

"If Indonesia is free from Covid-19, children can go back to school. We can work calmly and peacefully," she explained.

Menteng Urban Village Secretary, Dedi Cahyadi added, there were 733 participants today. 685 received the first dose and 48 were delayed due to health factors.

"Thus far, as many as 173 have received the first dose and 512 have received the second dose," he concluded.
