173 Schools in East Jakarta Ready to Implement PTM Next Week

All facilities and infrastructure have met the requirements. The teachers have also been trained for blended learning

As many as 173 schools spread over East Jakarta are about to implement face-to-face learning (PTM) on Monday (8/30). Those schools are under East Jakarta Education Region II Sub-agency with 107 schools and under region I with 66 schools.

East Jakarta Education Region II Sub-agency Head, Putoyo expressed, they included schools under the auspices of the Religion Ministry, such as Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTS) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA). His party previously had conducted assessments and training for schools that would hold this PTM.

"These schools are ready to implement PTM next week," he said, Friday (8/27).

For the safety and comfort of students, teachers and educators, he furthered all schools would be disinfected on Saturday (8/28) tomorrow. It was done independently and with assistance from East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency and PMI.

His party had also coordinated with the School Transportation Management Unit (Upas) to prepare school buses to transport students.

"We have sent a list of schools PTM to them (Upas). We also involve Satpol PP to support security during PTM," he expressed.

During PTM, the teachers and education staffs on duty were confirmed to have been fully vaccinated, while for unvaccinated teachers will teach online from home, including students.

"This also encourages them (students) to get vaccinated immediately," he said.

Students who would participate in PTM should show a letter of approval from their parents to take PTM.  

East Jakarta Education Region I Sub-agency Head, Linda Romauli Siregar mentioned, the 66 schools consisted of PAUD (3 schools), SD (46 schools). SMP (1 school), SMA (3 school), and SMK (13 schools).  Moreover, students should get approval from their parents to take PTM, including healthy condition and have vaccination certificate.

"All facilities and infrastructure have met the requirements. The teachers have also been trained for blended learning," she stated.
