87 Pets Receive Anti-rabies Vaccine Shots at RW 08 Duren Sawit Post

Five officers of the Duren Sawit Sub-district's Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Executing Unit had vaccinated around 87 pets belong to residents at RW 08 Post, PTB Housing Complex, Duren Sawit Urban Village, on Thursday (9/2).

KPKP Executing Unit Head, Siti Halimah said, the service was done through jemput bola system (officers to take the initiative to visit residents) in a bid to facilitate residents to bring their pets to get vaccinated.

"Those 87 pets vaccinated are two weasels, 44 dogs and 41 cats," she said.

She mentioned that it was carried out to pr event the spread of rabies, which is transmitted from pet owners and to maintain Jakarta as a rabies-free city since 2004.

"Surely it is free of charge," she closed.
