Eight PPSU personnel cleaned water channels on Jalan Kemang Selatan, RT 11/04 Cilandak Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta on Saturday (9/11).

These roads are prone to inundation

Cilandak Timur Urban Village Head, Bayu Pasca Sungkono conveyed, PPSU personnel were deployed to normalize the channels by dredging mud and garbage that clogged the channels. Thus when rain falls, inundation on the road can quickly recede.

"These roads are prone to inundation, especially when rain fall with high intensity in long time. Therefore, we need to clean it thus inundation can recede quickly," he stated.

Channels normalization was carried out from Jalan Kemang Selatan until Jalan H. Musa. There were about 26 points along the road.

"Cleaning water channels can make water to flow smoothly to Bambu Kuning connecting channel," he mentioned.
