Anticipating Inundation, Taman Sari Bina Marga Repairs and Cleans Hundreds Channels

Taman Sari Sub-district Bina Marga Unit, West Jakarta, carried out routine maintenance by cleaning and repairing hundreds water channels in the region. It was carried out to anticipate inundation, especially during heavy rains.

In detail, we clean 320 channels from waste and repair 15 damaged and collapsed channels

Taman Sari Sub-district Bina Marga Unit Head, Shely Sapta Budyana conveyed, her side cleaned and repaired 335 water channels in August 2021.

"In detail, we clean 320 channels from waste and repair 15 damaged and collapsed channels," she informed, Thursday (9/2).

Jakartans Urged to Care for Public Facilities

According to her, those water channels are located on Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Taman Sari Raya, Jalan Cengkeh, Jalan Kunir, and Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta. Her side deployed around 10-15 personnel every day for each points.

"In addition to routine work, maintenance is also carried out to anticipate inundation because it will be rainy season soon. This repair is expected to optimize the channel function," she mentioned.
