2,358 Trees Pruned from January to September 15 in Central Jakarta

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency had cut 2,358 trees from January to September 15, 2021.

From January to September 15, 2021, we have cut 2,358 trees

Central Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda conveyed, trees pruning is conducted to anticipate occurrence of fallen trees and broken branches, especially when it rains heavily with strong wind.

"From January to September 15, 2021, we have cut 2,358 trees," she stated, Wednesday (9/15).

Seven Mahogany Trees on Jalan Kemang Selatan Pruned

She said that generally trees are pruned because they are too dense, old, and brittle.

In detail, 724 trees were lightly pruned, 1,228 trees were pruned moderately, 347 trees were pruned heavily, and 59 trees were cut down.

Her side deployed teams in each sub-districts (City Park and Forestry Unit) and team from Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency.

"Each sub-district has one team plus two teams under sub-agency. In total, there are 10 teams and each team has 12 personnel," she mentioned.
