East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency began to socialize road users about connecting (Phb) channel and crossing channel construction work on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta by installing six banners along the construction site.

East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Development and Drainage Improvement Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri conveyed, banners were installed to inform road users and urge them to use alternative roads because construction project will take about two and half a months to complete.

"Not only banners, we also socialize people through social media, print and online media," he added, Monday (9/27).

His side has also coordinated with Traffic Regional Unit and East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency to control traffic and apply traffic engineering related to the project.

"According to plan, heavy equipment will enter the site on Tuesday night. Then the work can begin on Wednesday morning," he stated.

He mentioned, Phb channel will be built with length 878 meters and installed with box culvert with size 250 centimeters. While for crossing channel will be built along 30 meters using reinforced concrete pipe with size 1.5 meters.

Excavation is started from beside Tegal Amba Phb Channel to Buaran Bus Stop. The depth and width of excavation reached 3.5 meters because box culvert that will be installed has size of 2.5x2.5 meters.

Because his side will excavate the north side of the road, two lanes from Jatinegara to Bekasi are closed. Vehicles can only go through Transjakarta corridor lane.
