Drive-thru Rabies Vaccination at KPKP Agency Serves 154 Animals

The drive-thru rabies vaccination service or the non-stop service (Lantatur) at the Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta is attractive to pet lovers. In two days, it is able to serve 154 rabies-transmitting animals (HPR).

Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyasti said, the drive thru vaccination service was held in celebration of World Rabies Day, which is celebrated every September 28.
"It is held two days from Monday (9/27) and Tuesday (9/28). Yesterday, around 86 animals were vaccinated and today was 68 animals. Alhamdulillah, people are quite enthusiastic about this activity," she expressed, Tuesday (9/28).

"In overall, this year as many as 1,761 animals or 55 percent have been vaccinated anti-rabies. Our target is actually 5,000, but it was hampered by PPKM. Nevertheless, we continue to hold it in each sub-district," he explained.
Fitriana (32), one of pet owners in the service admitted that the service was very helpful.
"I get information from social media. So I immediately registered my pet. Surely, this is very helpful, especially for free," she admitted.
