Residents Enthused By Drive-thru Rabies Vaccination at North Jakarta Mayor's Office

Until 9 AM, around 10 animals have been vaccinated against anti-rabies

The owners of rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) enthusiastically welcome drive-thru rabies vaccination tests held at the North Jakarta Mayor's Office, on Tuesday (9/28).

According to Unang Rustanto, North Jakarta Sub-agency Head of KPKP, today as many as 80 animals have been registered online.

"Until 9 AM, around 10 animals have been vaccinated against anti-rabies. We close at 12 AM," he expressed, Tuesday (9/28).

Yesterday, he added, there were 84 animals registered online. "We only serve 62 animals, including 57 cats, four dogs and so on," he explained.

In the meantime, a team of doctors from the Jakarta Branch Indonesian Veterinary Association (PDHI), Isabel admitted it was an honor to be directly involved by the North Jakarta Sub-agency of KPKP in animal health social action at the peak of the commemoration of World Rabies Day.

"Animals to be vaccinated are observed first to make sure the animals deserve to be vaccinated. This test only takes about five minutes to complete, without having to get out of the vehicle," she stated.
