Water Channel on Jl. Gunung Sahari 9 and 10 is Repaired

Sawah Besar Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Central Jakarta, repaired water channel on Jalan Gunung Sahari 9 and 10, RW 04, Gunung Sahari Utara Urban Village.

We immediately normalize the channel thus residents can feel safe, especially in rainy season

Sawah Besar Sub-district SDA Unit Acting Head (Plt), Yusuf Sumardani said, this repair work included U-ditch installation which had been carried out from end of September and targeted to finish in November 2021. The channel was repaired because water couldn't flow optimally and caused inundation.

"It is also conducted to follow up local resident's request through Musrenbang. We immediately normalize the channel thus residents can feel safe, especially in rainy season," he mentioned, Friday (10/8).

So far, the progress has reached 35 percent. His side deployed 20 personnel to repair the channel manually because it is located in small alley.

"Later, we will install u-ditch on the channel with width 40 centimeters along 90 meters. Channel's height will be also increased from 30 centimeters to 60 centimeters," he explained.

He hopes those improvements can minimize occurrence of inundation, especially during heavy rains.
